Chinook Equipment

Chinook Equipment is a division of the Davis Automotive Group, a Top 50 Best Employer in Canada since 2012. The foundation for Chinook Equipment can be summed up in our mission and vision statements. These statements were carefully constructed, and are a true representation of “why we exist” (mission), and “what we want to be” (vision).

Then and Now
Our roots take us back to 1978, when a gentleman by the name of Edwin Valgardson opened a heavy equipment repair shop in Taber, Alberta. Edwin was approached by Hyundai in the late 90’s, and in 1997 became Alberta’s first and only Hyundai Construction dealer. Fast forward to today, and Chinook Equipment has evolved into a full-scale heavy & agriculture equipment dealership serving Alberta and beyond.
