Karmoy Winch

The drum is controlled by a manoeuvrable Danfoss PVG120 with a load-sensing signal and electric control, along with a load control valve and a brake on/off valve. The drum is equipped with a failsafe disc brake, maintained by a hydraulic accumulator. The brake disc is made of stainless steel, and the theoretical brake torque is 78,000 Nm. The winch is delivered with a pressure control valve for adjusting the pressure/torque on the winch. A manhole is installed for access inside the drum. The winch is prepared to swivel, and the drum includes a passage slot for fastening the cable inside the drum. The drum features a manually operated lock bolt that docks into slots on the side of the drum. The sides of the drum are equipped with slots, including two radial slots on the side for easy access to inner ropes.
