Dealership History The dealership we operate today has roots tracing back all the way to the horse-and-buggy days, when dirt roads ran throughout Greeley, Colorado. D.R. McArthur opened Weld County Garage, Inc. in 1901 to sell buggies and shoe horses for Greeley residents. Seven years later, the business entered the automotive industry as Weld County Automobile Company, selling the popular Buick Model 10. For a while, the showroom also carried home appliances like washing machines, and the lot was also home to an array of boats, trailers, motorcycles, and even jet skis. The dealership remained in the McArthur family until 1982, when Lee Yoder and his business partners purchased the business. Warren Yoder, Lee’s son, worked in every department of the dealership on his way to becoming general manager, and in 2012, Warren bought the company to become the current owner of all Weld County Garage, Inc. locations.
